Ellston American Legion and Auxiliary

The current American Legion Building was completed and officially opened in May 2017. The American Legion hosts a Memorial Day Celebration, displaying an Avenue of Flags in the Ellston Cemetery. Liles Post 541 members organize the Memorial Day Service to honor veterans in Ellston Cemetery, Oliver Cemetery, and Pumptown Cemetery.


The American Legion honors local veterans with a 21-Gun Salute at Veteran burials and march as a uniformed color guard in local parades.

Emmett Liles American Legion Post 541

AUXILIARY WOMEN support the Legion by organizing fund raiser events, such as the Memorial Day Breakfast. Any woman related to a veteran is encouraged to become a member.
